Anthony Pettis vs. Stephen Thompson? “Showtime” Asks Fans if They Want to See It

If you’ve had any recent discussions about who Anthony Pettis might fight next, chances are the name Stephen Thompson didn’t get mentioned. But, now “Showtime” has asked fans if they want to see him throw hands and feet with “Wonderboy”.

Pettis is coming off a corner stoppage loss to Tony Ferguson in October, which followed his submission win over Michael Chiesa in July. Well, recently the former lightweight champ posted the image and question below on Instagram:

Now, stylistically, obviously, this is an intriguing match-up. But, it’s a somewhat surprising idea, considering it wasn’t that long ago really Pettis was fighting at 145.
