AJ Style’s Contract Update, Becky Lynch’s Tweet To Vince McMahon

– It’s undeniable that A.J. Styles has had an outstanding WWE run since he first signed with the company in January 2016. He’s held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice, and with a 371-day reign during his last stint with the title, he became the longest-running champ in SD LIVE history, under WWE’s brand extension; Styles has also hit number eight (overall) when it comes to longest reigns, tied with the “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

Therefore, AJ is certainly not a superstar that the WWE wants to lose anytime soon; however, with all the rumblings around talent exiting the company, including the recent announcement that Dean Ambrose is leaving come Wrestlemania 35, it’s hard to not speculate on what the future holds for someone who is in such high demand in the wrestling world, like AJ Styles.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently provided an update on when AJ Style’s current contract with the WWE was up, and it is being reported that the date is actually April of this year.

With all that is going on in the company right now, this sets Styles up for a solid negotiation process. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is nipping at the toes of the company right now, and it seems as if many superstars are realizing that they have options when it comes contracts. AJ has friends in AEW, and this could make the transition from the WWE to the new promotion very smooth for him. On the other hand, the WWE has been quite good to Styles, creatively and such, so it seems like there is a good chance he’ll re-sign with the company.

WNZ will keep fans posted with any changes on this intriguing news story.

– Yesterday was The Man’s birthday, and while WWE’s Chairman Vince McMahon has been known to send out birthday tweets to some superstars, he only really does this for the highest-level talents on the roster. Therefore, it had to have been a huge honor for Becky Lynch to get a shout out from the one and only Vincent Kennedy McMahon.
