Rob Font returned to the win column tonight at UFC Milwaukee, by outscoring former flyweight contender Sergio Pettis.

Font came out with a stinging, long jab, and the bantamweight repeatedly tagged Pettis with the technique during the opening round. Pettis attempted to fire back with jabs and straights of his own, but Font’s reach advantage was a problem for the former flyweight. As the round ended, Pettis had some swelling around his right eye, as a result of Font’s jab.

Round two saw more of the same, but late in the frame, the action spilled to the mat and Font attempted to end the bout with a kimura. In round three, Font took the fight down and used his size and top game to control the action for the remainder of the fight.

After the final horn, there was little doubt Font would be awarded the decision and he was.

Here are the results so far for UFC Milwaukee.
