“Shogun” Rua demonstrated once again that he remains a threat in the light-heavyweight division, as the former champ took out Tyson Pedro tonight at UFC Adelaide.

Both light-heavyweights clipped each other with heavy shots early on into the bout, but a couple of minutes in Rua was staggered badly by what was an accidental clash of the heads. The legendary fighter managed to survive the onslaught that Pedro brought and finished the opening round in the top position on the ground.

In round two, Rua swept Pedro to the mat and worked from the top for a couple of minutes. Pedro finally worked his way back up, but Rua took him right back down and landed more strikes from above before the second frame ended.

Shortly into round three, Pedro went to the deck with some sort of leg injury, and Rua swarmed in and finished the deal with punches from above. Huge win for the former light-heavyweight champ.
