If anyone was still doubting whether Brian Ortega was the real deal earlier this year, “T-City” likely silenced those folks in March, when he took out Frankie Edgar.
Ortega faced the former lightweight champ at UFC 222, and he proceeded to take out the future hall-of-famer in the opening round. It marked the first time in Edgar’s remarkable career that he had been stopped.
You can watch the memorable finish below, in advance of Ortega’s fight this Saturday with featherweight champ, Max Holloway.
UFC 231 will take place in Toronto, Ontario.
