Joseph Benavidez

The TUF 28 Finale is going down in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the prelims saw Joseph Benavidez and Tim Means score impressive, stoppage victories.

Benavidez took on rising flyweight Alex Perez, and the perennial contender proceeded to take the latter out with a flurry of punches. After the win, Benavidez called for a bout with the winner of the January 26th between flyweight champ Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw. Benavidez also campaigned for the UFC to not cut the men’s flyweight division, which has been rumored will be the case.

The prelims also saw Means end a two-fight losing skid, as the rugged, welterweight vet took Rick Rainey down and finished him off with punches from above.
