Steph Curry Says Man Has Never Gone to the Moon – NASA Responds

It’s hard to believe that in 2018, some people still think this, but here goes… NBA star Steph Curry recently said he thinks the 1969 moon landing was fake. He apparently believes man has never gone to the moon.

And NASA had a great response.

 The New York Times reported that the Golden State Warriors made these statements during a recent podcast appearance, in which Curry asked two other people on the show if they believed that the U.S. had been to the moon.

“We ever been to the moon?” Curry asked. The others on the show “agreed that the answer was no.”

“They’re going to come get us,” Curry responded. “Sorry, I don’t want to start conspiracies.”

The show’s host then pressed Curry.

“You don’t think so?” the host asked.

Curry answered, “Nuh uh.”

According to New York Times reporter Benjamin Hoffman, the host then “expressed some skepticism, asking Curry to clarify, and [Curry] said he did not believe the United States had landed on the moon.”

One guest even apparently thought famous film director Stanley Kubrick had staged the landing.

What NASA said to all this was great. In a statement to the Times, a NASA spokesperson said:

We’d love for Mr. Curry to tour the lunar lab at our Johnson Space Center in Houston, perhaps the next time the Warriors are in town to play the Rockets. We have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks stored there, and the Apollo mission control. During his visit, he can see firsthand what we did 50 years ago, as well as what we’re doing now to go back to the moon in the coming years, but this time to stay.

“There’s lots of evidence NASA landed 12 American astronauts on the Moon from 1969–1972,” a NASA spokesperson said according to TMZ.

Whether Steph Curry plans to take NASA up on their offer remains unknown.

Whether or not the U.S. went to the moon in 1969 and many times after is a basic fact of history.
