Since Rizin announced that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Tenshin Nasukawa are going to fight on New Year’s Eve, there’s been a lot of speculation as to what in fact the rules will be. Well, now we know.

According to a report from MMA Fighting the bout is scheduled for three, three minute rounds under the boxing rule set. The fight will be contested at 147 pounds and the fighters will wear 8 oz gloves. The fight is going to be full contact, however, there will be no judges and since it’s an “exhibition” bout, it will not go on anyone’s record.

In the press release announcing the rules, the 20 year-old striking sensation, Nasukawa, was quoted saying:

”There’s never been a Japanese fighter to face Floyd Mayweather in the ring,” Nasukawa said “As an athlete, this is something that’s a great honor and a challenging task. I’d like to make a big impression.”

There you have it. Will Nasukawa be able to score any telling shots on elusive,  undefeated boxer?

Rizin 14 will be hosted by the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
