It looks like Jose Aldo and Cub Swanson are going to throw hands once again, nearly ten years after they battled at WEC 41.

The Brazilian publication Combate is reporting that Aldo and Swanson are going to fight at UFC 233, January 26th. In their first encounter, in June, 2009, Aldo (27-4) put away Swanson with a flying knee in just 8 seconds.

More recently the former featherweight champ stopped Jeremy Stephens at UFC on FOX 30 this past July. That victory followed Aldo’s back-to-back losses to current 145 king, Max Holloway.

Swanson (25-10), meanwhile, has dropped three straight, although, the defeats came against top tier opponents in Frankie Edgar, Brian Ortega and most recently, Renato Carneiro.

So, this would be a solid addition to UFC 233, which will be seeĀ TJ Dillashaw dropping down to 125 to challenge champ, Henry Cejudo.

(Since this was first reported, Swanson has announced he will not be ready to fight Aldo on January 26th).
