UFC Fight Night 140 Results: Santiago Ponzinibbio Makes Statement
Santiago Ponzinibbio took advantage of his main event billing Saturday night, scoring a fourth round finish vs. Neil Magny at UFC Fight Night 140.
The card took place from the Estadio Mary Teran de Weiss in Buenos Aires, Argentina, airing live on FOX Sports 1. It marked the debut for the Octagon in Argentina.
Ponzinibbio pushed his current win streak to seven in a row with the finish, giving him four knockouts during his run. He has also bested the likes of Mike Perry, Gunnar Nelson and Court McGee since a 2015 loss to Lorenz Larkin.
For Magny, the defeat was his first since a 2017 loss to former champion Rafael dos Anjos and snapped a two-fight win streak for The Ultimate Fighter alum.
In the co-main event, Ricardo Lamas scored himself a third round TKO vs. Darren Elkins, connecting with an elbow to secure the win. The former title challenger earned his first victory since 2017.
Johnny Walker made an instant impact in the light heavyweight division, as he knocked out Khalil Rountree Jr. Walker landed with an elbow, flooring Rountree in the first round to secure the knockout victory.

Replacement fighter Ian Heinisch made the most of his opportunity, scoring a decision victory over Cezar Ferreira. Heinisch, who was on Dana White’s Contender Series, stepped in for Tom Breese when he was injured.
Marlon Vera and Cynthia Calvillo started off the FOX Sports 1 main card with submission wins, as Vera choked out Guido Cannetti and Calvillo did the same to Poliana Botelho.
Michel Prazeres and Alexandre Pantoja topped off the FOX Sports 1 prelims with submission wins in the first round. Prazeres locked in a guillotine on Bartosz Fabinski for his seventh consecutive victory, while Pantoja choked out Ulka Sasaki with a rear-naked.
Austin Arnett downed Humberto Bandenay via decision and Laureano Staropoli did the same to Hector Aldana.
On the early UFC Fight Pass prelims, Jesus Pinedo and Nad Narimani each picked up decisions. Pinedo bested Devin Powell at lightweight, with Narimani topping Anderson dos Santos at featherweight.
