Francis Ngannou has likely silenced many of his doubters today, as the heavyweight needed just 45 seconds to get by Curtis Blaydes at UFC Beijing.

Ngannou sent Blaydes crashing to the mat, face first, not long into the bout with a huge right hand. Blaydes got back to his feet, but while he attempted to take Ngannou down, the latter cracked him with more punches. The referee jumped in to save Blaydes from taking any more shots, who proceeded to protest the stoppage.

With the win, Ngannou ended his two-fight losing streak and moved to 2-0 against Blaydes.

In the co-main event, Alistair Overeem spoiled the Octagon debut of Sergey Pavlovich. Overeem swept Pavlovich to the floor late into round one, and then finished the fight with vicious punches from the top.
