Curtis Blaydes’ title shot hunt was hit with a big setback today at UFC Beijing, but the talented wrestler sounds as confident as ever in his abilities.
Blaydes took on Francis Ngannou at the event and was quickly dropped by the feared slugger. Blaydes did his best to get back in the fight, but after taking several more punches, the fight was stopped.
Following the devastating defeat Blaydes posted the statement below:
The only man to defeat Blaydes (10-2, 1 no-contest) to date is Ngannou, who also handed him a TKO loss (via doctor stoppage in 2016). It will be interesting to see when and who Blaydes fights next.
