Daniel Cormier was a huge favorite to win his bout tonight with Derrick Lewis at UFC 230, and the heavyweight champ demonstrated why.

After the two exchanged kicks, Cormier proceeded to take Lewis down to the mat with a single leg takedown. Cormier controlled the top position for a couple of minutes, and anytime Lewis got back to his feet, the champ dragged him back down.

Lewis threatened Cormier with some huge punches early into round two, but was unable to land, and “DC” took him down again. Moments later, as Lewis tried to get back to his feet, Cormier sunk in a fight ending, rear-naked-choke. Dominant performance by the champ.

With the win, the light-heavyweight champ becomes the first person in UFC history to defend titles in two different, divisions, while still being the champion in both.
