It looks like Nick Diaz’s lengthy hiatus from the Octagon could come to an end in early, 2019.

Yes, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto is reporting that UFC President Dana White has confirmed that Diaz has agreed to fight Jorge Masvidal at the promotion’s March 2nd, UFC 235 card. The fight, however, has reportedly not been signed yet.

Diaz (26-9, 2 no-contests) hasn’t fought now since 2015, when he took on Anderson Silva at UFC 183. The Stockton star is 2-2, with 1 no-contest in his last five bouts.

Masvidal (32-13), meanwhile, didn’t compete in 2018, as he hasn’t fought since November, 2017, when he lost via decision to Stephen Thompson. The well-rounded fighter is 3-2 in his last 5 scraps.

So, there you have it. If you’re an old school or big-time fan, this is a must-see fight.

UFC 235 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
