– Considering how the past few years have gone, one of the future stars of WWE appears to be Braun Strowman. He has remained in the main event scene for most of his run and has come close on several occasions to capturing the Universal Championship.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, they noted how Strowman could have some heat within WWE. It was mentioned how Strowman has a reputation of arriving late to work and leaving before the show ends. This has led some to call Strowman his own worst enemy as a reason WWE has yet to give him the title many think he deserves.
Strowman is currently feuding with Baron Corbin and will also be part of Team RAW for Survivor Series. Just a week ago, Strowman again came up short when trying to defeat Brock Lesnar. He lost in a quick match to Lesnar at Crown Jewel, where the vacant Universal Championship was up for grabs.
Corbin would attack Strowman before the bell and then Lesnar hit several F5s to regain the title. The match lasted a little over three minutes and was done to keep Strowman from looking weak.
– WWE is looking to sign several names from around the world. They have shown interest in Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Hangman Page. Also, they have reportedly reached out to three namers from New Japan Pro Wrestling.
We know Tetsuya Naito was offered a spot by WWE, but he turned them down. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter did not have the names of the other two wrestlers approached by WWE, but believed one would have been a huge surprise.
With Roman Reigns out of the picture, WWE is looking to add depth to their roster. There is a chance WWE reaches out again with better deals as they were forced to change future plans due to Reigns’ battle with leukemia.
