Conor McGregor

Following the news that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to box striking sensation, Tenshin Nasukawa, Conor McGregor’s coach is reporting the star’s also received an eyebrow raising offer.

McGregor’s head coach, John Kavanagh, recently appeared on The True Geordie Podcast, and during it, the SBG leader reported the following (quotes via Express.co.uk):

“I’ll give you a funny one,” Kavanagh said. “I had a guy message me just a few days ago – a Chinese kickboxer [who] wanted to do three rounds with Conor for $5million (£3.8million).”

“And he was going to put it in escrow. It wasn’t like he was just [joking].

“Because again, I get a million messages like that a day, but you just don’t pay attention [to them].

“But this guy was connected and it was a legitimate offer. But I know he wouldn’t [do it].”

How about that? Now, obviously, the UFC isn’t going to let McGregor start taking exhibition bouts outside of the promotion. It remains to be seen when and who the former lightweight and featherweight champ will face next, following his loss to current 155 champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov last month.

Mayweather Jr., meanwhile, is expected to face Nasukawa at Rizin’s New Year’s Eve card.
