Undertaker’s Retirement Match

– The WWE has been teasing the Undertaker’s retirement, with his Wrestlemania 33 match against Roman Reigns ending by The Phenom placing his gear in the middle of the ring while he walked away. Having said that, he consistently returns to in-ring action with multiple appearances this year alone, as well as his Crown Jewel tag team match against DX on the horizon.

Still, while it is clear his career is coming to close (how long can he keep up with even a part-time schedule), many wonder when that day will be? After all, the Deadman has created an incredible legacy, and deserves to hang up his wrestling boots to enjoy retirement.

While there may be some that are skeptical out there in Internet land, Barnburner’s No Holds Barred Joe Peisich noted on his podcast recently that Taker just may officially be retiring in mere months. In fact, he stated that The Undertaker’s official retirement match is slated for Wrestlemania 35, with a possible WWE Hall of Fame induction to take place that weekend as well.

– Speaking of the WWE Hall of Fame, there is another name that is being thrown around to headline the big event, and according to Barnburner’s No Holds Barred Brad Sheppard, it looks like Batista could be inducted this coming year. Whether the WWE decides on the Undertaker or Batista, or potentially both men co-headlining the ceremonies, the idea of either man is apparently currently being considered.

With Dave Bautista returning to the WWE tonight to help celebrate SmackDown LIVE’s 1,000th episode, the communication gates are clearly open between the company and the now-huge Hollywood film star. Anything is possible in the WWE, and with the legacy that Batista carved within sports entertainment, he is more than worth of a WWE Hall of Fame induction. His star power in the entertainment industry and amongst WWE fans also makes him the perfect candidate to headline the event.

It’s important to note that nothing has been confirmed as of yet, and so much can change between now and early 2019 when the WWE begins announcing its Hall of Fame inductees.
