Rapper Wiz Khalifa is firing back at social media users who have been slamming him over an Instagram post of his in which he sends his son to his first day of kindergarten on the school bus.
“1ST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN,” Khalifa proudly posted on August 29 alongside a photo of him with his son Sebastian, who he fathers with Amber Rose. “RODE THE BUS AND ERE THANG‼️”
Breitbart reported that critics decided to use this heartwarmingly adorable post as an excuse to criticize Khalifa’s parenting. Social media users slammed Khalifa for “making” his son ride public transportation, despite his immense wealth. Khalifa, however, wasn’t having any of it.
“All y’all people asking why I would let my son ride the bus, cause I’m rich,” Wiz responded to the negative comments. “And he said he wanted to ride the bus with his friends, so let kids do what they want to do. Chill.”
Khalifa’s fans then showed up to defend him, praising him for his decision to let his child “fully experience school,” and have a “normal life.”
“You’re being a great dad,” one social media user wrote. “Don’t let anyone tell u otherwise.”
Khalifa recently opened up about the six-bedroom home that has been customized for both his music recording and for fun times with his son.
“There was a lot of room for my son. I wanted to make sure he could run around and have a good time,” Khalifa said, according to People Magazine.
“When you walk in, you kind of just get the vibe of my son,” he said of the home’s playroom. “He’s got his play area, he’s got his learning area, he’s got his imagination station. He gets to do him.”
We think it’s great that Wiz Khalifa is keeping his son grounded by having him ride the bus just like every other child! Shame on social media users for attacking him for simply being a good dad!
