teen pushed bridge press conference

16-year-old Jordan Holgerson is on a long road to recovery after being pushed off a bridge. The Washington teen is dealing with a host of injuries, including five broken ribs, a bruised esophagus, and air bubbles in her lungs. Her family has now confronted the “friend” who pushed her 60 feet off the bridge and are demanding charges be filed.

Jordan was standing on the bridge at Molton Falls but changed her mind about jumping into the water. She clearly said, “No, I won’t go in,” just seconds before being violently pushed into the water by another female, who we now know is an adult. The aggressive nature of the push makes it appear that this was actually rather personal as you can see in the raw video of the incident below. Brace yourself, the sound of the teen hitting the water is horrific.

Holgerson’s mother Janelle wants the adult who pushed her daughter off the bridge to face consequences. The teen could have been paralyzed or even drowned.

“I’m very upset with her,” the furious mother said. “She is an adult, and I’m sure she should have known better. She could have killed my daughter.”

Jordan’s sister Kaytlin confronted the pusher on Facebook. The woman claims she is sorry, but attempted to excuse her violent actions because she claims she didn’t realize the outcome would be so awful. Common sense would lead anyone to believe that falling into water from 60 feet at an awkward angle is going to cause injuries.

“She pretty much said that she was sorry for doing it and she wouldn’t have done it if she knew the outcome of it and that she knows it was an absurd thing to do,” Kaytlin said in the video below about her interaction with the woman who caused her sister so much pain.

The injured teen spoke at a press conference at the hospital where she described her injuries. She refused to go into the details about the person who pushed her, likely for legal reasons, as the Clark County Sheriff is investigating this case.

Jordan did say that she lost consciousness, but was aware when she smacked into the water and broke her ribs. She reports that she was unable to breathe. She was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after being rescued from the water by people on the scene.

“In the air, I think I might have fainted,” she said at the press conference. “But when I hit the water I was definitely awake and aware.”

Jordan’s press conference is in the video below. It’s hard to imagine why someone who caused such serious injuries has not been charged yet, particularly when there is video.
