Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks has a new gig.

Hendricks has separated from an MMA gym in Texas that bares his name to start Bigg Rigg Fight Club. And while his active career inside the Octagon is over, he is still working closely within the sport.

“There are some exciting changes happening in the world of Bigg Rigg. Although I have retired from fighting in the Octagon, my involvement in MMA is far from over. We have made a decision to separate from the ‘Johny Hendricks MMA gym in Midlothian, TX so I can pursue passions that are valuable to me. From today moving forward we are no longer affiliated with that gym. The exciting news is I have started Bigg Rigg Fight Club in Midlothian, and train fighters at that facility, both in a group and private setting,” he posted on Twitter. “I am coaching wrestling at All Saints High School, where I am able to have a direct impact on young wrestlers. And last but not least, I have partnered with a decorated Green Beret to train Military, Police, and more. Our training program is designed to teach new, and reinforce sound techniques to give these men and women the tools to make it home at the end of the day.

“I thank you all for your continued support of Bigg Rigg, and would love for you to follow our progress as we train and grow.”
