Impact Wrestling has been experimenting with taping the show outside the United States. Even though they do not fill all the seats, the company is booking some success outside of the United States; this explains why Impact Wrestling has decided to move things to Mexico in September for a series of tapings
Impact will be taping in Mexico on Thursday, September 13 and Friday, September 14. The events will take place at Frontón México, which is situated in Mexico City.
“We are excited about this historic trip to Mexico as we continue to expand our live event schedule globally.”
“We look forward to working closely with our promotional partners at Lucha Libre AAA and our broadcast partner 52MX to bring an unforgettable experience to our passionate fan base in Mexico heading into the final stretch for Bound for Glory this October.” – Impact Wrestling President Ed Norholm
The Mexico events will include some major wrestling superstars, so anyone heading to Mexico during this time should certainly consider stopping by. Stars who are scheduled to appear at the event include Austin Aries, Johnny Impact, Eli Drake, Moose, Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan, Pentagon Jr., and Fenix. So, whether you are a fan of Lucha Underground or Impact Wrestling, both types of fans will find something they love at these events.
Frontón México is an entertainment complex in the heart of Mexico City. It is situated near the central square, also known under the name Plaza the la Republica.
It is interesting to know that Frontón México only recently reopened its doors. The complex was closed for a whole two decades.
Getting tickets for the Mexican events of Impact Wrestling is not that straightforward. Ticket releases and starting times are yet to be announced, even though we are not that far off from September.
While checking the Impact Wrestling website, it became clear to me that the company needs to do some serious work on their site. When you click on the ticket section, nothing is displayed, not even local shows or even sold-out events; this looks far from good from a wrestling fan’s standpoint. I would love to attend Impact Wrestling, but when you cannot get the tickets, I’m not going to scour the internet in hopes of finding one.
My advice to Impact is to sort out its site immediately, not just the ticket pages, but some of the other pages that lack content as well. Impact could be fantastic, but it requires some professionalism still, especially in the shop section.
