Charlie Daniels is not someone who forgot where he came from and all that he has to be thankful for. The Country Music Hall of Fame member is very grounded in his faith, family, and his country and he’s not afraid to put that on display. He wants to encourage others to come to the Lord.

Daniels is well known for his fun and feisty music. He’s been entertaining us for decades and he uses that platform to remind us of the importance of prayer. He regularly tweets a morning prayer to his over 900,000 followers. This is a great example of how to spread the message. He doesn’t let fame back away from the important aspects of his life. Rather, he uses his fame to promote God! And thousands of people often respond to his prayerful tweets.

On Sunday, our country needed some extra prayer and Charlie didn’t let us down. In Charlottesville, a handful of white nationalists battled with Antifa. There was violence and it was a really ugly day, but Charlie offered up an important prayer that reflects how many of us feel and says exactly what we should be asking God. Our country does need God now more than ever!

On Monday, Charlie reminded us that evil is always lurking, trying to lure souls to the dark side. We must look to God for the power to resist and continue living a Christian focused life.

This is exactly what our country needs right now – PRAYER! It’s wonderful that someone as respected as Charlie Daniels is willing to stand up and publicly pray for all of us. There is too much division and hatred in this world and the best way to combat that is through prayer and working together.

Charlie Daniels doesn’t just tweet about his faith, he sings it too. You can hear this legend sing “He’s Alive” with the World Outreach Church in the video below.
