Leave it to Chael Sonnen to try and portray himself as the “good guy” entering his upcoming Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix semifinal fight with Fedor Emelianenko.
Bellator posted a fight poster recently showing off the two, who meet live on Paramount Network on October 13. The winner advances to face either Ryan Bader or Matt Mitrione in the finals with the heavyweight title on the line.
Sonnen is portrayed as “The American Gangster,” dressed in Apollo Creed clothing from the Rocky IV movie. The character was played by Carl Weathers, and has since been brought back to the big screen in the form of the “Creed” series with Michael B. Jordan playing his son.
