Meghan Markle has only been a member of the British royal family for two months, but she has already become one of the most popular royals in the world! People all over the globe have been touched by the kindness and grace that Meghan has regularly shown, and a former classmate of hers has just come forward with proof that the Duchess of Sussex has always been the loving and generous woman that she is today!
Michelle Fanara went to school with Meghan twenty years ago when they both attended Immaculate Heart High School in Hollywood, California. High school was a difficult time for Michelle, and it was made even worse when her beloved great aunt passed away during her senior year. Right when Michelle was in the darkest depths of grief, Meghan stepped in to lift her spirits.
“I wanted to retreat into my own shell and Meghan was like, ‘No you can’t do that. You’re here. You’re here for a reason.’ She kept pulling me out of my shell,” Michelle told Inside Edition. “To have someone reach out and say, ‘Hey, if you ever need someone,’ that is pretty special.”
It wasn’t until Michelle was watching Meghan marry Prince Harry on television that she remembered the note the new royal had given her years ago. As she watched the royal wedding, Michelle thought, “Oh, wait. I kept a letter from Meghan. So I went looking (and), ‘Oh yeah, I still have it.'”
Michelle read the note in a touching interview with Inside Edition:
After Michelle found the note, she pulled out her old high school yearbook and found another message from Meghan!
“I can already tell you’re a great person!” Markle wrote. “I can’t wait to see you next year. Love, Meghan.”
Michelle wants to let the world know just how amazing Meghan is on the inside.
“She was genuinely a nice person,” she concluded. “I don’t think there was a mean bone in her body.”
It’s clear from this that Meghan has been helping people in need for decades! No wonder she’s already cemented herself as one of the best Royals of all time!
