christianity

The left’s war on Christianity has been going on for years. They want to sanitize our culture of religion, but many of us simply won’t stand for that. We choose to stand with God rather than politically correct snowflakes who are offended by almost everything. Two brothers who refuse to be silenced created a perfect song about this battle that will have all us frustrated Christians singing along.

They Grew Up with Religion

Like many of us, life was a lot different for the Moron Brothers of Kentucky when they were kids. There were religious undertones at school and in public places as it encouraged people to treat others with dignity and respect. Today, religious displays on public property can lead to a full-on attack from Godless leftists

“[We’d] pledge allegiance to the flag and recite the ‘golden rule.’ The 10 Commandments proudly hung in the hallway of our school,” the brothers sing about school in the 4th grade in 1961. Christianity was not then considered offensive in schools. It’s hard to imagine why parents would not want children to be taught to respect and honor their parents, but this what leftists are offended by.

The Pledge of Allegiance

There’s nothing offensive written in the Pledge of Allegiance, but not even that is safe when it comes to the secular left. Patriotism and the mere mention of God drives them mad. We saw this recently when atheists took aim at a school district when Christians handed out Bibles on a sidewalk outside of a school. The school folded, but the Moron Brothers are standing firm on the side of God.

The Moron Brothers remind us that many Americans have turned their backs on God. They cry out for God’s help and protection during times of crisis and then immediately turn their backs and mock him when things settle down.

“How many cried His holy name when the terrorists attacked? The hurricanes, the winds and rains? They keep on coming back?” they sang. “What’s next for us, what does it take to make us understand? We need to take this country back and put it back into God’s hands.”

Nothing will go right if we turn our backs on God. We are in a culture fight against believers and those who want to completely scrub God from our lives. “The Ten Commandments Song” perfectly lays out the importance of this battle in the video below. This bluegrass song should be our theme song!
