Marine Veteran Lets De Niro Have It!

On Sunday night, Hollywood star Robert De Niro took the stage at the Tony Awards, only to go on a profanity-laced rant against President Donald Trump. Now, a veteran of the U.S. Marines is firing back at De Niro to let the Hollywood elitist know that he just took his anti-Trump obsession way too far.

“I just want to say one thing. F*** Trump. It’s no longer down with Trump. It’s f*** Trump,” De Niro said at the Tony’s.

Independent Journalist Review reported that like millions of other Americans, Marine veteran Joseph DeVito was incredibly disturbed by De Niro’s comments. In a video posted to Facebook that has been viewed over 2.7 million times since Monday, DeVito is seen holding a framed photo of the actor as he explains that De Niro “used to be my idol.”

“I used to love this guy, Robert De Niro,” the veteran says. “But after what he did last night at the Tonys, this is where Robert goes.”

DeVito then goes upstairs and outside to his porch, where he opens a garbage can and tosses the framed photo inside. The veteran grabs a hammer out of a toolbox and smashes the framed picture of De Niro as he says, “This is what we think of you.”

Not stopping there, DeVito takes the photo out of the smashed frame and rips it to pieces.

“Another Trump hater down,” he concludes as he slams the lid of the trashcan.

The video has since gone viral, with millions of Americans expressing their agreement with DeVito. In an interview with Staten Island Live, DeVito explained that De Niro’s language was highly inappropriate for all the children watching the Tony’s that night. The veteran was then asked about a 2014 Facebook post of his in which he criticized Barack Obama, but he said expressing disagreement with the president is different than cursing him out.

“I’m not on TV saying, ‘F**k the president,” he said. “Some of my family were Obama supporters, and we bang heads, but we’re not going to fight over it; everybody has their own opinion.”

We could not agree with this brave veteran more! De Niro’s rant only shows that he is an out of touch Hollywood elitist who has lost sight of the plight of real working Americans. Barack Obama prioritized appealing to all the egos in Hollywood over actually helping working-class Americans, but Trump is doing the exact opposite of that. Trump couldn’t care less what wealthy Hollywood elites like De Niro think of him, and that makes them incredibly angry.

People like De Niro would rather see our country fail than see Trump succeed, which is why millions of Americans have had enough of listening to Hollywood stars lecture us about politics. Regardless of what De Niro says, it won’t change the fact that Trump is here to stay!
