One of the WWE superstars that have been ‘over’ with fans for the past couple of months is undoubtedly Rusev. Even though Rusev Day is one of the most popular gimmicks in wrestling today, the Bulgarian Brute has hinted many times about being unhappy within the company.

The former United States Champion recently spoke out about his troubles in the WWE, but also about his friendships with other WWE superstars.

Is Rusev Happy in the WWE?

There has been so much speculation regarding a premature departure for Rusev; many fans assumed that the WWE superstar was on his way out. However, a recent interview with Bulgarian television station TV+, seems to indicate otherwise.

“I love the place I’m in right now and I don’t consider anything else… except a Bulgarian movie career [laughs].”

Who Is Rusev’s Best Friend?

Some time ago, Rusev stated that John Cena was his best friend after he sent some signed Cena merchandise by post.

The Bulgarian Brute does have a best friend in the WWE, but it appears it is not John Cena. During the interview, Rusev mentioned Sheamus as his best buddy. Of course, he had to mention his ravishing wife first.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

“Sheamus! No… I’ll have to say Lana first, because she’s gonna get mad at me if I don’t. After her, It’s Sheamus.

… my parents named our dog after Sheamus and he was very honored. It was very emotional for him and even cried.

[We got close] on our European Tour two years ago when we went to his house in Ireland. But I think our friendship might have happened when we were in League of Nations. But I’m sure that my visit to his home in Ireland gave the start of our friendship. Now he lives 5 minutes away from my house in Nashville.”

A genuine bromance. How DELIGHTFUL!
