John Cena is not wrestling as much as he used to, but that does not mean he is not one of the most successful wrestlers ever. Roman Reigns seems to agree, especially since he recently revealed he asks John Cena for advice regularly. Here is the story.

Mixed Responses

Both Roman Reigns and John Cena have experienced a mixed crowd. Both superstars have been booed and cheered at the same time, sometimes with one stronger than the other.

Express has stated that Reigns didn’t want to take advice from Cena at first, and here is the reason why:

“Early on I didn’t really want to take much advice from Cena, just because I wanted to do things my way and he’s noted that before. That’s the type of guy and type of leader he is.”

“But as I got a little further on and a lot more comfortable in my role I happen to knock on his door, so to speak, and ask him a question or two of what would you do in this situation? What would you think about this? How would you approach this?”

Over time, Roman Reigns decided to place his trust in Cena and get some valuable advice. Here is what he said about the situation:

“And he’s been great at helping me. Not only in that regard but in the match and the time I had working with him. It was phenomenal and it’s really nice to have someone help you and sharpen your tools, so to speak. So I’m very grateful for him as well.”

Becoming the Face of the Company

There is no doubt that the WWE has been trying to put Roman Reigns over as the face of the company. While Roman Reigns does have a good following of women and children, he fails to convince some of the die-hard fans. Men especially do not seem to take to Roman Reigns, so it is certainly not a surprise he is asking Cena for some valuable advice.

Reigns has improved over the past year, so any advice he has received from Cena certainly worked. If I were Roman, I would continue to take Cena’s advice, while working on expanding my in-ring versatility.
