Many of you already know that Toys R Us and Babies R Us are going through bankruptcy and will be closing down all of their stores. You may not know that all Toys R Us and Babies R Us Gift Cards Expire April 21st. If you think you can use the gift cards online, you are out of luck. The Company’s www.toysrus.com and www.babiesrus.com web stores have been shut down effective March 29, 2018 at 5:00 pm ET. Toys R Us closed their online presence and are pointing all patrons to go directly to a store. Many of the items in the store have already been marked down 10-20% and you can expect further reductions as they empty their inventory.

Most stores are still open, but as of March 23, 2018 liquidation sales started at all Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores. Loyalty rewards are no longer being accepted, nor will you be able to earn loyalty rewards. Endless earnings, in the form of e-gift cards, will be accepted through and including April 21, 2018. Coupons, including Geoffrey dollars, are also not being accepted effective March 22, 2018.
Toys R Us announced in March that it would close all remaining U.S. stores (including the Babies R Us franchise) and liquidate their inventories. Those sales started on March 23, the day after the company’s founder and original chief executive died. The chain employs more than 30,000 people in the U.S. and includes Babies R Us stores.
