Carmella Cashes In At The SmackDown!

After holding and breaking the record for longest Money In The Bank reign and numerous failed attempts, Carmella finally cashed in her contract and defeated a wounded Charlotte. The Queen was roughed up by the debuting ICONIC Duo of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay before the Princess of Staten Island rushed the ring and threw her briefcase to referee Mike Chioda.

After a few tense moments where Chioda seemed to stonewall the cash-in attempt, Carmella nailed Charlotte with a single kick

Carmella is now the SmackDown Women’s Champion. A long way from just being the valet for Enzo and Cass. Congrats, Mella!!

What’s Next?

You should assume that Charlotte will get her re-match at Backlash next month. But all signs point to Charlotte moving to Raw. Perhaps this is a way to clear a path for Asuka’s eventual SmackDown Title reign? We will see. This is an exciting time to be a women’s wrestling fan.
