ABBA reunion

ABBA has surprised a lot of fans by announcing they reunited to record two new singles over 35 years since their last release. The band dominated the charts by selling over 400 million albums. Their last time on stage together was 1986. After repeated claims the group would never reunite, they are BACK!

They appeared together in public places since then but hadn’t gotten the group back together until now. The four ABBA members previously said they wanted to be remembered how they were at their height. Thankfully, they put those notions aside to bring us new music. They are all glad that they decided to reunite to bring the magic back!

“It was like time had stood still and that we only had been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience!” the group said in a statement.

In October 2016, ABBA joined forces with Simon Fuller of “American Idol” to create a show using VR technology to breathe new life into this beloved group.

“We’re inspired by the limitless possibilities of what the future holds and are loving being a part of creating something new and dramatic here – a time machine that captures the essence of who we were. And are,” ABBA’s Benny Andersson said.

The single “I Still Have Faith in You,” is the result of that collaboration and will debut in December on NBC and BBC as part of a two-hour special. The name of the other single has not been released.

“We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did,” ABBA added.

The group that brought us disco favorites like “Dancing Queen,” which is in the video below, are thrilled to return to the stage together to bring us new music. Fans are excited as well!
