Rusev Wants To Fight A Celebrity At Wrestlemania – Who Should It Be?

The Wrestlemania card is shaping up pretty nicely. In my opinion, it is the best overall card since Wrestlemania 30. There are already ten matches booked with the potential of at least 2-3 more. One big star missing a match at Wrestlemania though is Rusev. A shame considering this year’s Show of Show falls on Rusev Day.

Don’t worry the Bulgarian brute has an idea to make sure he appears at Mania.

Ah yes, the Celebrity match at Wrestlemania. A tradition that stretches back to Mr. T and the Hulkster challenging Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper at Wrestlemania I. So this got us thinking about which celeb the founder of Rusev Day should fight on the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

Kevin Hart

The pint-sized Comedic Powerhouse debuting at Wrestlemania? It would no-doubt be hilarious. I didn’t even come up with the idea, that credit goes to The Rock Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson aka The Rock. Shades of Mayweather vs. Big Show?

Stephen Amell

How about a celebrity with some wrestling experience? Stephen Amell, star of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Arrow already wrestled at SummerSlam a few years back teaming with Neville against Stardust and King Barrett. Unfortunately, Amell is already looking to avoid Rusev.

Jean Claude Van Damme 

Rusev loves JCVD. His favorite movie is the action classic Bloodsport. His UpUpDwnDwn video game name is Tong Po.

Rusev is trained in Muy-Thai kickboxing so the two would make it a “shoot” kickboxing fight!

Floyd Mayweather– He’s training for an MMA run and could show off some new weapons in his arsenal.

Conor McGregor – The trash talk between the Notorious One and Lana would be GREAT!

Kotoōshū Katsunori – A Bulgarian Sumo wrestler considered one of the best foreign-born sumo wrestlers of all time. It would be similar to Big Show vs. Akebono at Wrestlemania 21.
