Megan Anderson, a former Invicta FC champion once signed to meet Cris Cyborg, continues to sit on the sidelines as other fighters fall victim to the reigning UFC female featherweight champion.

But Anderson maintains that she is just the kind of challenge needed for Cyborg, who dominated Yana Kunitskaya at UFC 222 Saturday night, stretching her unbeaten streak to 21 consecutive fights.

“You want an actual featherweight who is bigger than Cris and has power…..” Anderson posted on social media in regard to herself.

Anderson withdrew from a scheduled fight with Cyborg back in 2017 at UFC 214, citing personal reasons. She has not competed since, but remains signed with the UFC.

In her most recent bout, which took place in 2017, Anderson claimed the interim Invicta FC featherweight title by stopping Charmaine Tweet in the second round. She was later promoted to undisputed champion, but did not defend her title.

Anderson has stopped each of her last four opponents since a 2015 submission loss to veteran Cindy Dandois. All but two of her career wins have been finishes, as she is 8-2 overall.
