Here’s The Line-up For The First Women’s Elimination Chamber Match

WWE’s women made history at the 2018 Royal Rumble by wrestling in the very first 30-woman Royal Rumble match.They’ll make history again by wrestling in the very first women’s Elimination Chamber match.

Monday Night Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced the news during Raw’s opening segment following the Royal Rumble, revealing that Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will put her title on the line against five other women inside the Elimination Chamber at the Raw-exclusive pay-per-view of the same name on Feb. 25. The winner of that match will then likely go on to face women’s Royal Rumble winner Asuka at WrestleMania 34.

This is exciting news and yet more proof that WWE now views its women as 100% equal to the men. The Elimination Chamber was created by Triple H and first introduced at Survivor Series in 2002. It received its own PPV in 2010 before disappearing in 2016 due to the cost and sheer weight of the structure. However, a newly redesigned chamber allowed for its return last year.

And here’s the line-up.

Asuka and Nia Jax are missing. The two will instead square-off in a one-on-one match at the Elimination Chamber PPV. If Nia defeats Asuka, she will join the match at Wrestlemania between Asuka and the Raw Women’s Champion.

It certainly looks like 2018 is shaping up to be a major year for women in WWE – and not just because of a certain ex-UFC champion. Soon enough, they’ll be headlining WrestleMania.
