Alan Jackson Gets Exclusive Honor That Very Few Ever Receive!

Country legend Alan Jackson has earned over 150 awards over his long-standing career, but he’s about to add another one to that list and it’s a big one.

It has been announced that Jackson is being inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. This will officially happen at the Induction & Awards Gala in New York City on June 14.

Just last year, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, now he is about to be honored for his songwriting by the music industry at large.

To be inducted, a songwriter must have at least 20 years of experience and an extensive catalog of hit songs. Only 400 songwriters have even been inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, so Jackson will be among an exclusive number of people.

In 2016, Billboard ranked Jackson as one of the Top 10 Country Artists of All Time. He has also won three Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year honors and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for over 25 years.

He has also won Grammys and ASCAP’s Founders and Golden Note Awards. In addition to that, Jackson won the Heritage Award as the most-performed country songwriter-artist of ASCAP’s first 100 years. Like Paul McCartney and John Lennon, Jackson has written and recorded over 20 songs that have gone to the top of the charts. There are very few musicians who have accomplished this.

Jackson enjoys the songwriting aspect of his music as it allows him to be creative. “I started writing because somebody told me I needed some original material. I’d never even thought about writing or studied songwriting,” Jackson stated. “There are different aspects of your career, and they all bring different rewards and feelings… but the songwriting is very fulfilling. Songwriting is definitely the most creative part.”

Alan Jackson‘s songs obviously resonate with his audience. “Remember When,” which is in the video below, is a great example of Jackson’s songwriting talent.
