Alexa Bliss is one of the leading female wrestlers associated with the women’s revolution. From being one of the first women to wrestle in the United Arab Emirates, to becoming the main attraction on Raw, Alexa Bliss certainly build an outstanding career for herself.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Alexa Bliss elaborated on the fact that the women’s revolution is far from over. Curious what Alexa had to say about the women’s revolution? Find out below!

The Revolution Is Not Complete

During her interview with Sky Sports, Alexa Bliss touched on the fact that the women’s revolution is far from over. Here are some of the statements she made during the interview on the subject.

“You’re never done. The WWE has been at the forefront of promoting women in sports entertainment and athletics, But it would be awesome if one day we main event WrestleMania. That would be amazing.”

“At the moment, the fact that we’re making history is very exciting. I’m very excited by this Royal Rumble match because the revolution didn’t start with just one or two women. So the fact you have every woman included is awesome.”

Praising Those Women Who Paved the Way

Alexa seems quite aware of the fact that there were many women before her who broke some of the barriers in women’s wrestling. Bliss believes strongly that these women deserve a lot of praise for their contributions and that they should be acknowledged by everyone.

“I don’t think it really started with our generation, It started with the previous women, the divas. If they hadn’t have had the types of matches they had then and been given the types of opportunities they had then, we wouldn’t have what we have now. So I think it’s great to see how we’re perceived now and everything but it started before us.”

Conclusion

I wholeheartedly agree with Alexa that the women’s revolution is far from over. Even though women take a more prominent role in the wrestling circuit, they are far from equal. Just think about how many men’s matches we get during pay-per-views and then compare the number of women’s matches. Yes, the WWE has made strides with the women’s revolution, but equality is far from secure.

How could the WWE improve the women’s division? Are there more ways to make women equal to men in the wrestling circuit? Let us know your ideas below!
