Our Five Favorite Royal Rumble Returns!

I was quite excited about the Royal Rumble, so I was also extremely happy when the WWE delivered! Here are some of my favorite moments from this year’s Royal Rumble. What were your favorite returns?

There’s a Hurricane Coming!

Many of my favorite moments happened during the Rumble match, including the surprise return of the Hurricane. I absolutely adore the Hurricane, so seeing him make a return for the Royal Rumble was absolutely amazing.

Of course, I was a little disappointed when the Hurricane was eliminated so quickly. However, Hurricane remained in character and clearly enjoyed the reaction of the crowd as he left the Rumble Hurricane style!

Buyaka Buyaka!

The Royal Rumble moment that tops everything else for me is undoubtedly the return of Rey Mysterio. This is the man who got me into wrestling in the first place.

I’m not lying when I said I fell off my sofa and crawled on my coffee table because I did not know what to do with the surprise return of the Rey. God, I wish I taped it because it must have looked hilarious to my other half who was sitting next to me. I did not see this coming, something that is also unusual.

Of course, there is one little thing that ruined things for me, Finn Balor eliminating my favorite wrestler of all time. Even though I was excited to see Nakamura win, Mysterio’s elimination took the wind out of my sails. Still, I am so happy I got to see Rey in a WWE ring again.

Excuse Me?

Love me or hate me for it, but I loved seeing Vicky Guerrero again. God, I missed that woman and her screechy voice. I must admit I had to turn the volume down at one point because Vicky is best appreciated on the lower spectrum of sound amplification.

Lita Kicks Ass!

I already had my fill of my all-time favorites, and then the WWE threw one of my favorite female wrestlers at me, Lita! Despite being retired for some time, Lita could certainly hang with the current women on the roster. Thank you, WWE for this amazing surprise.

Other Returns That Were Awesome!

There were more returns during the Rumble that got me so excited, but I cannot add them all to my favorites, unfortunately. Still, I was so happy to see the likes of Jaqueline, Trish Stratus, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, and other amazing women who put their mark on women’s wrestling. Also , ant to mention, each of the women looked amazing!
