One of the biggest moments at an action-packed Wrestlemania was John Cena proposing to Nikki Bella after their match. Here is the story of their engagement plus the possibility of the wedding being televised. Here’s our story from August.

The wedding of Nikki Bella and John Cena is probably one of the most anticipated weddings in wrestling history.

Even though John asked Nikki to stick to a budget, it certainly appears that their wedding will be far from small, since there are rumors the wedding will be television on E! Network.

Televised on Total Divas or Total Bellas?

During an interview on Today, accompanied by John Cena, Brie Bella, and Daniel Bryan, Nikki seemed to be hinting that her wedding would be televised on E! Network.

Even though Nikki hinted with the statement “Total Bosses” during the appearance, the real indicator that the wedding might be televised came from John Cena, who said the following during the interview.

“The reason why audiences flock to the E! Network is because these women are so open and so honest with their lives. That encompasses everything, they run hard. They’re just as busy as anyone – they have an apparel line, they have a wine coming out, they’re filming this show, they’re filming another show, a successful YouTube channel. They are as entrepreneurial as you can get. But they still make time for their family, and they make time for experiences to bring for people who follow them on. I’m not going to speak for Nicole and say that we are, but she probably will be like, ‘We have to kind of give it to [them].”

Wedding Dress Chosen & Date Set!

One thing that has been confirmed by Nikki Bella is that she has set a wedding date and chosen her wedding dress. She stated this during an interview with a reported of E! News. This once again indicates that E! Network is incredibly involved with the entire process.

More Projects from Nikki Bella

As you may know already, even though Nikki Bella is not in a wrestling ring at the moment, she is doing countless other things on the side. As we speak, she might be preparing to compete in Dancing with the Stars. She has not confirmed anything yet, but there is serious speculation that she is going to compete.

Considering the multitude of projects Nikki Bella is involved in, you can only wonder when she will have to time to actually tie the knot with wrestling hubby John Cena.

My Opinion

I have to be honest, I would love to see the wedding of John Cena and Nikki Bella televised on E! Network. I am a curious creature, so I do like to experience some of these things with my favorite wrestlers.

Still, if Nikki & John decide to keep their wedding private, it is certainly their right. Would I prefer to see it on TV? Of course, but not at the expense of what they want. It is their special day, so time will tell what they decide.
