The Doctor Is In! Orangutan Wants Woman To Remove Bandages

An amazing video of an orangutan named Rocky is going viral because of the authentic way he interacted with a visitor at a United States zoo.

A woman named Darci had burns on her shoulder and neck area and had placed bandages over them when she traveled to the zoo with her boyfriend. When they walked around the area where the monkeys and orangutans were located, one particular animal got close to the window and noticed her bandages.

In just a few seconds, Rocky was motioning to Marci to remove the bandages so he could take a look. Marci didn’t realize what exactly the animal wanted until she slightly lifted her bandage and the orangutan looked intensely. Then, Rocky motioned for Marci to remove more of the bandage so he could get a better look.

”The orangutan was completely interested in my burn scars and recent surgery sights,” the filmer later wrote online. ‘I am a burn survivor from 2015, yes it has its up and down, but this particular day made me feel really good about myself,” she added.

Darci went with her boyfriend to the ZOO to see Rocky the orangutan, but what they were not expecting was the primate curiosity of them as well. When the woman approached the enclosure, the orangutan kept pointing his fingers to her bandages, clearly asking to see what she was hiding underneath. Darci was all too eager to oblige the curious animal, so she would peel off her bandages to let the distant relative take a closer look at her injuries.

Amazing, right? Have you ever seen anything like this before? The orangutan looked concerned for Darci’s well-being. I’ve never seen a wild animal show such concern for a human being in my life!
