WWE’s next major Pay-Per-View is Survivor Series, the traditional fall show that features the classic five-on-five elimination tag match. While we build towards that with a blockbuster main event for Raw’s TLC show, what about the titles? Who will Jinder Mahal defend the WWE title against? Who will square off against Brock for the Universal title?

Well, on Smackdown Live, Jinder Mahal seemed to answer both questions. He also signed his death warrant.

It seems in the interim though, Mahal will be feuding with Styles. WWE has not yet made the match official between champions official, but the rumors have been swirling for weeks.

Heyman Responds

Following Jinder’s challenge, Lesnar’s manager and “advocate” Paul Heyman responded

Jinder vs. Brock? Dream or Nightmare Match?

Jinder’s reign has been less than stellar, at least for American fans. He squashed the hopes of Shinsuke Nakamura’s title reign, which angered hardcore fans. He seems to cut the same “you hate me because I am foreign” promo each week. He certainly has the look, but I don’t know if he has the charisma or the skills to carry the title. Clearly, Vince and co disagree with that assessment. Enter Brock Lesnar. In his few title defenses since winning at Wrestlemania, The Beast has run through Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman. Each star gave him a good fight, but ultimately it was Lesnar who retained.

There’s no reason why Brock shouldn’t destroy Jinder in record time. But doing that would vastly diminish the power of the WWE title. Perhaps this is just a swerve and Lesnar won’t be squaring off against Mahal.

Who wants this match?

That’s the first question that came to mind. Both guys have yet to prove this year that they can put on a good match. Will this help WWE in India? Will this tell a story that will make people care? I don’t think so.

But what would happen of Jinder beat Brock? Even if he used the Singh brothers? Would there be riots? Would it be the most ridiculous result since Vince McMahon beat God in a match?
