Starting in 2011, Dance Moms was one of the most popular reality TV shows on Lifetime. The show featured Abby Lee Miller’s dance company which helped train pre-teen girls become professional dancers.

Dance Moms was a major hit with the network, but the show’s star recently got into some legal trouble, throwing the future of the program in jeopardy. In addition to being accused of assaulting a woman on the show, Abby Lee Miller was accused of fraudulent financial activity.

Miller pled guilty to fraud after it was revealed she created a secret bank account to hide income from her dance classes, merchandise sales, and TV deals. She was sentenced to one year in prison and began serving her time in July. Since then, things have not gone well for her.

According to reports, Miller was busted by prison staff for allegedly having contraband in her cell. Miller stole fruit from the dining hall which the source said was a “total violation.”

Abby’s entire locker and bed area was “shook down last week” and the former Dance Moms star was identified as the culprit. The source said that Abby’s punishment for having contraband in her cell could have been severe but she allegedly got off easy, receiving just an extra day of being forced to rake rocks outside.

The jail insider also revealed that the reality TV star had another embarrassing moment after her hair person visited her in prison. After her friend left, Abby was strip-searched, which is standard prison procedure but must have been extremely humiliating for the once-famous television personality.
