Statements Made By Roman Reigns During Monday Night RAW

The Miz had a surprise guest at Miz TV this week because none other than Roman Reigns would make an appearance for an interview with the Intercontinental Champion. However, it would soon lead to a confrontation between the Miz and Reigns.

Here are some of the things said between the Miz and Roman Reigns:

Roman Reigns: “If it wasn’t for these idiots helping you all the time, you wouldn’t have won last night. Matter of fact, why don’t one of you all help me. Why don’t you run back there and grab me a beverage or something.”

Miz: “It’s kind of ironic you talking about the Miztourage, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel because when you first came to WWE, you rode the coattails of two superstars. And if the Miztourage was around five years ago, nobody would remember the Shield. Do you know what would happen if the Miztourage faced the Shield?

Roman Reigns: “We would whoop your ass no problem. Bro, it would be terrible for you, are you kidding me?”

After getting the crowd a little excited about a possible Shield reunion, Roman turned to say he was focused on his own thing – the Universal Title. However, the reaction of the crowd to the Shield was so strong, they could be testing the waters of Roman rejoining the Shield.

The Shield Increasing Their Ticket Sales

It is rumored the WWE is seriously considering reuniting the Shield because of suffering ticket sales for Monday Night RAW. According to Wrestling Observer, last week’s RAW taping only had 6,800 fans in attendance, so the brand is in need of revitalizing.

The viewership of RAW has suffered lately too. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the viewership ratings of RAW have fallen for four weeks straight. Even though this could have everything to do with NFL season, it is also likely that people are tired of Brock Lesnar as champion. The proof of this is in the pudding because, despite the main event with Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman, No Mercy was not sold out! Therefore, it is only natural for the WWE to consider some serious changes and make them happen soon.

My Conclusion

After seeing this week’s episode of RAW, I’m convinced the WWE is working towards a Shield reunion. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns are getting quite a bit of exposure. We also saw some things that were reminiscent of the Shield, so they might indeed be testing the water for a genuine reunion.
