Average citizens have proven to be the biggest heroes in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. People are helping out neighbors and strangers because that’s what Americans do.
There are many videos that tell this tale, but one of the most defining is that of a monster truck pulling a National Guard tactical vehicle out of the water. A private citizen belonging to what is being dubbed “The Redneck Army” helped the government rather than the other way around.

This is America in action. Liberals would taunt someone driving a monster truck, but they should reconsider that after watching that video. You never know who you will need in your time of need!
