With lots of talk about Ronda Rousey and other MMA stars coming to WWE, wrestlers have been expressing their thoughts on whether or not they could make a successful transition.

The Miz would love to fight Conor McGregor (LOL OK) and Brock was once on a collision course with Jon Jones. Even Becky Lynch got in on the action, being challenged by UFC Women’s Champion Cyborg Justino.

The Lass Kicker expressed her thoughts on the other big name in MMA who might be coming to WWE. She is excited but has a healthy dose of skepticism.

“I feel like if it’s going to get more eyes on us, then that’s wonderful. What I want to see is women who are passionate about this, and that they’re doing it for the right reasons, and that they care about this business because we have been busting our tails for the past four years to make sure that women are seen in a different way and women are seen in a different light.

“And of course, Ronda, with all she’s done for UFC, would be a great asset. I can’t diminish her accomplishments at all because she’s incredible in her own right. But this is our sport, and coming in here you have to prove yourself in a whole different way.”

Respect the Business!

I think she is correct. You have to respect wrestling and come in here and work. I don’t expect Rousey to start off in NXT, but I think she should really toil for a bit and not be catapulted to the top. Becky and the rest of the ladies have worked hard to remake women’s wrestling and put it on par with the guys. Ronda and others need to respect that. Women’s wrestling is better than it has ever been because of Becky, Natalya, Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley, Ember, and Asuka. They are the ones that rebuilt the division. They deserve the respect and the big opportunities.
