Mike Kanellis release request

It is no secret that many talents who recently left Impact Wrestling have some serious issues with the company and its management. Several former Impact wrestlers have released statements about how things are run. The latest in a long line of disgruntled former employees? Mike Kanellis, who recently joined the WWE.

The Twitter Rant

Mike Kanellis has been quite vocal about his displeasure with Impact Wrestling, mainly on Twitter. Of course, he was provoked into his latest negative Twitter message by a Tweet from Michael Saxe.

Mike Kanellis was quick to respond with a pointed tweet, referring to the claims that Impact Wrestling is not paying its talent on time.

In true Hardy form, Matt responded to Mike’s tweet, referring to his own experiences with Impact Wrestling.

Impact Wrestling and Its Problems with Talent

I’ve recently posted an article about some of the major talent leaving the company. Some talent claimed that Impact would not pay what they were worth, while others attributed their departure on the hectic Impact Wrestling schedule. At the time of this article, Impact is still bleeding talent.

The problems of Impact Wrestling are not stopping with talent jumping ship though because the company has been experiencing some issues with Alberto Del Rio, who has not been a role-model for the brand.

Impact Wrestling is trying to distance itself from Del Rio it seems because there are rumors that the wrestling promoter is trying to hire Rey Mysterio for their roster. Rey Mysterio has also spoken out about the rumour and seems to be willing to work with Impact Wrestling.

“I was actually in conversations a while back with Impact about doing some shows. To be honest with you, it’s not that I don’t want to go work for them, it’s just like I didn’t have it in my game plan. I also didn’t have Lucha Underground in my game plan before it was created. If the circumstances were right, I wouldn’t mind going”

Still, Mysterio has stated that has he no interest in a contractual deal with Impact Wrestling, so joining the brand would only be of a temporary nature. Mysterio is still a crowd-drawer through, so I would not be surprised if the WWE is showing some interest at this point.

“I’m not interested in signing a contractual deal, but I would love to do some shows. People want to see diversity in their opponents and fans want to see their dream matches. If people want to see a match-up, let’s make it happen.”

Conclusion

Impact Wrestling has quite a few problems to solve, but that does not mean that the brand is on its last legs. Still, to ensure their fan base stays intact, Impact Wrestling needs to stop the bleeding of talent it is currently facing and get a more respectable champion.
