Tonight’s Smackdown promises to be a big one. Daniel Bryan is returning and he is vowing to rectify the controversy surrounding Carmella “winning” the first ever female Money in the Bank Match. Baron Corbin also cryptically hinted his intentions. Plus a lot more.
Here’s what we’re looking forward to tonight:
Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon have both promised to fix the situation surrounding the Women’s Money in the Bank Match. After Carmella’s valet, James Ellsworth climbed the ladder himself to hand her the briefcase, a lot of fans were angry. WWE, planned or not is playing directly into this anger by promising a solution. There’s no word yet on what is planned, but Carmella could be forced to give up her title, or at the very least be forced to put it on the line earlier than planned.
Jinder Mahal and his cronies dispatched of Randy Orton at Money in the Bank. Speculation now turns to who will challenge Mahal for the WWE title. Early signs point to a returning Rusev, who earlier demanded a title match at Money in the Bank. Corbin also lurks in the wings and even hinted that he may be cashing in tonight. WWE.com is hinting heavily that Orton may not be done with Jinder quite yet.
Jimmy and Jay got themselves counted out on Sunday, leaving New Day waiting for another shot at the title. The New Day could get a title shot as early as tonight. It seems they are going to make us wait for The New Day to finally rock again.
