Blue Bloods is wrapping up its seventh season. Tom Selleck promises that Friday’s season finale is a pivotal one.
Selleck said that seeds were planted early on in the show that are coming to fruition now with a series of twists to the story line.
“We have kind of a cumulative narrative on the show. Each experience [the characters] have informs them about the future,” Select told ET. “I think for Frank, as much as he’s had an adversarial relationship with the mayor, played so well by David Ramsey, when push came to shove, they always found a way there. What has been happening in the show [recently], and I think planted some seeds for the audience, is that there’s been something different.”

The series has been such a success that it will soon exceed the number of episodes of Selleck’s original TV hit, Magnum, PI. It’s unusual to have one show with such longevity. Now he has two!
Friday night’s series finale looks to be an exciting one that sets the stage for the eighth season.
