CM Punk has lost his temper during MTV’s The Challenge, which led to a huge argument with Johnny Bananas. Even though he was somewhat provoked, the famous temper of CM Punk reared its ugly head again. Here’s the story!
Champs Vs. Pros
When CM Punk came last in a challenge during the MTV program, Bananas could not wait to pour salt into the wound. The confrontation led to a major argument, with Bananas sending some low blows in Punk’s direction. The former WWE wrestler was later upset he let Bananas get in his head.
CM Punk’s History
Most people are familiar with CM Punk’s history, which has not exactly been smooth sailing. One of the things that really stands out about CM Punk is his WWE career and how he left the business. Even though he was considered a major star, his departure was surrounded by controversy and lots of questions.
CM Punk Vs. Triple H
CM Punk had issues with Triple H for a match they had at Night of Champions 2011. After the match, Punk’s momentum faded. CM Punk would later tell Triple H:
“I seriously resent you for not putting me over three years ago when you should have.”
When CM Punk left the company in 2014, Triple H would be the one to reach out to him. CM Punk replied:
“Send me my royalties that I’ve been asking about for two months. That is reasonable, and then I will talk to you when I get back from my honeymoon.”
CM Punk Vs. John Cena
Unfortunately, CM Punk clashed with many major superstars during his career at the WWE. In addition to Triple H, he also had some major problems with John Cena, who Punk resented for being placed higher than him.
Over the course of his career in the WWE, John Cena would headline over CM Punk multiple times, even at times when CM Punk held the WWE title. He was never considered as “the guy,” which seems to have bothered him greatly.
CM Punk Vs. The Undertaker
Not even Undertaker got to escape the wrath of CM Punk, because CM Punk was quite upset about having to lose at WrestleMania 29. It is claimed he said the following:
“Explain to me how losing to a 45-year-old man that wrestles once a year is going to make me the hottest heel in the world? No disrespect. Explain to me how that works.”
CM Punk Vs. Vince McMahon
Amongst all the people Punk has clashed with, the arguments with Vince McMahon are probably known best. Even though CM Punk and Vince McMahon clashed before, his biggest outburst happened upon him leaving the WWE where he said the following to Vince and Triple H:
“You have shackled me, you have creatively stifled me, you have made this a very toxic environment, I no longer want to be here.”
Conclusion
Everyone knows I have no love whatsoever for CM Punk. He’s known to be quite outspoken though and that is a quality that should be admired. Also, in the case of Punk’s recent outburst, he was honestly coaxed by Bananas, who came over as a real joke!
