Alison had a few songs on the soundtrack for the 2000 movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” This soundtrack is amazing and one of my all time favorites. Alison is a big reason why so many people love the music.
One of the most memorable songs was “I’ll Fly Away.” Alison Krauss sang it with Gillian Welch. It’s a classic hymn that these two women put a gorgeous spin on decades after it was written.

Gorgeous! The first time I watched O Brother, Where Art Thou?, I immediately was drawn to that song and I wasn’t even a fan of this sort of music at the time!
