While many celebrity singers have outright stated they would refuse to sing at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony, one country music superstar was singing a different tune.
TMZ caught Garth Brooks in Washington, D.C. preparing for the Christmas Tree lighting on the National Mall and asked, “Any chance you would sing at the inauguration?”
Garth responded, “I don’t know. I haven’t been asked.”
The reporter pressed him, “Is it a possibility if [Donald Trump] asks you to perform?”
Garth gave a patriotic response, “It’s always about serving. It’s what you do.”
Garth also revealed who he thinks is the best songwriter of all time.
You’ll want to see this:
While Garth Brooks didn’t toss his hat in the ring for any candidate this election cycle, he did support Barack Obama in 2012 and even told reporters that “he loved him to death.”
With Garth saying that he is opening to performing for Mr. Trump’s inauguration it shows that even the biggest supporters of Barack Obama can get behind Donald Trump. It also shows that Donald Trump is able to unite the country that Barack Obama has divided!
